Excuse the title...
It's late.
But the good news is...(drum roll)
I finally got a job!
Couldn't be more excited about it.
I will be working at Gap.
I start my training on wednesday.
Seriously this is my first job and I have nothing to complain about.
I am nervous though,
Nervous about not meeting their expectations,
Or not knowing what to do,
Not being able to help the customers with what they need,
Or doing something wrong.
I really need to just go in and do my best.
I am really excited for this job though.
This is a great opportunity and I get to be doing something I like,
Working with clothes.
And the 50% discount to Gap and Banana Republic
Is NOTHING to whine about.
What I've learned from this experience of trying to get a job is that diligence is key.
If you never give up, it will work out somehow.
Hard work pays off and people will recognize it.
I have learned that I can be outgoing,
And that I am a unique and individual daughter of God.
If you let your light shine people will be drawn to that.
Be yourself,
Don't pretend to be someone your not.
Yaay! Congratulations, Brooke. You'll be great. I think a good thing to do as a new person is that if you don't know the answer to something, don't fake it. Just say, "I don't know the answer to that, but I'll find out for you." People really appreciate that. When I had my first job, I was scared of looking dumb, so sometimes I just guessed, and that's no good. :)
